this is my new baby. she was born on May 6th, 2004 and is #3479 of #3781. i bought it brand new in oct '04 in Colorado, and had it shipped to my doorstep in California. the stock power of this truck is incredible. there are very few engine mods that i will do to achieve what i want. this is my first 2wd vehicle since my senior year of high school. i've been an avid 4wheeler since, and have owned many 4X4's. but after a test drive of an '01 lightning, i knew i had to have one. i test drove many used ones, but they were definately abused. after testing numerous used trucks, i did a nationwide search for a new one. i found only 2 white ones, and as i called on one, it had actually just sold. the other was in Colorado, which i ultimately jumped on. there was a $5k bonus rebate ontop of my employee A-plan price, making it $23k. after the transporting negotiations, i had it delivered right to my house. i couldn't be happier with it.
