So the GOP had some big wins today I think the house vote in up state New York is the most telling...a moderate Republican is outed by the fringe-cons in her party let by Palin and they lost the seat in a very heavily Republican district.
I can only hope that Palin continues to exert her winning ways in other GOP races.

That split in the Republican party is exactly what I have been talking about. The uber-con fringe candidate appeals to the Palin/wacko crowd and wins their side of the election then loses out to the Democrat who is viewed as more middle of the road by the mass of the electorate. I am sure we will see this played out again and again next year.
So far Palin has been absolutely NO HELP in regaining the House or the Senate. Thanks Sarah!!

This election was a good sign for us. Remember... there was no primary election in NY23 and republicans took ovber 50% of ther vote.
And... it proves that...
America is watching!

Notice no one here will say anything about NJ. A Dem state going to a Republican. That`s not telling enough for the FTW Libiots. Upstate NY is just that...........Upstate. Not very important to me, a (R) NYer in a (D) NY world.
No new mayor either.
Change is good....you`ll see.

By comparison to the far left, the ACORN endorsed "republican" Scozzafava may very well appear "moderate", relatively speaking. In reality she is left of the democrat Owens, who only managed a 3% victory in spite of being better a better speaking professional politian in a liberal leaning area, not the "very heavily Republican district" you erroneously describe. Hoffman rose from nowhere in the polls to the point of being considered a ligitimate contender with a very real chance to win.
People who think that Dede Scozzafava dropping out of the race caused the Republican party to lose an election they could have won do not get it.
The writing is on the wall. Both parties are corrupt. We don`t need to be forced to choose between radical leftist and leftist lite, we need real choices.
On that note I do agree with you that Scozzafava was "outed" by Conservatives, but not in the way you mean it. She was simply "outed" as a very liberal democrat masquerading as a republican and once the mask was off her campaign fell apart.
Here in the Commonwealth, we not only voted for a pretty Conservitive Governor who handily defeated the liberal Deeds by the largest margin of victory since 1916 and proved to have long coat tails, we also voted against the president`s very liberal agenda.

Cudos to NJ for doing what we all should do, vote out the incumbents. It`s time to end politics as usual and clean house.

You know California has had a Republican Governor for years now...It really hasn`t fixed anything so yeah the GOP had some big state wide wins but in the one election that had National implications the GOP is showing us what we can expect next year.....
The fringe-cons will drive out any moderate Republicans and hopefully scare away the independents.

your post is nothing short of proof that you, along with quite a few CC Republican leaders do not know the definition of moderate Republicans.
But whatever, I really don`t care if my candidate of choice is a member of either party or is an independent, so long as he knows & remembers who his bosses are, is always looking out for all of our best interests and is a Conservative.
