so Im in the market for some 18x12s
I broke one of my old KMC deisels, got it warranteed, and sold em.
I went out on got some 18" harley wheels, but lug-nuts from the dealer are close to 600 bucks. then Id still have to go visit wheel adapters.com and spend another 600 bucks for billet steel, forget that stuff.
Im sitting on a bunch of 38/15.5 r18 toyo mts (enough for 4 trucks), so I need some new 18x12 wheels.
im thinking some used dune8`s would be cool.
I dont think anybody is making 18x12`s anymore.
any ideas?
anybody have any leads for me?

the lift came out to about almost 5". as for rubbing, i have some rubbing at full lock and loaded suspension on the arms, nothing in the front. Other than that, it ain`t bad at all. I like the fat tire look. doesn`t look like it`s skating down the road.

I`m sure that Dick Cepek still makes the DC-1 wheel in an 18 x 12. Prices not too bad. Are you selling any of those tires? e-mail me when you have chance. my address is gonzogonzalezii@hotmail.com

^^
those are some really nice loking trucks.
I can get dc-1s at a pretty good price,
their just not my cup of tea.
I appologize but, im not really planning on selling any tires, its just that when I come across a used set with 2/3 or better tread Ill buy them for a few hundred bucks, and keep a surplus on hand. Especially considering that i have a rockcrawler running that same tire size, for now.
I can clear 42"swampers when the time comes. the JEEP project is nearing completion; corvette TPI motor,700r4 dana 60`s, and I stretched the wheelbase 20 inches and the body 15" + I turned it into a 6 seater. So, Im probably gonna be ruining quite a few tires. The JEEP will be drivin daily. But I probably shouldnt be sitting on them for years on end either.
But, if your ever out this way and in need, Ill hook you up for sure.
Ill hook it up for at least what i paid for them. Im not trying to get rich off of any of you. I just think that the shipping costs would cause it to not be worth the effort for you. Freight sucks, and I dont want anyone to say I cheated them over used tires that Id rather have on hand to begin with. check your local craigslist, I run across deals all the time, you just have to sort throught the B.S.
my old kmc deisels were only about a 1/4 inch wider than these HD`s so, in all honesty the 18" HDs dont look that bad. Besides, after about the first week or so I didnt like the KMCs anyways due to the narrow width. Id been looking for a reason to get rid of them for some time now. Cracking a spoke on a front wheel sealed the deal, luckily for me, i knew somebody, so it got warranty`d no questions asked, then I sold em.
I went out and got some oem black f250 lugnuts, so for now, Im running the 18" Harley davidson rims w/ 38 inch toyo mts. they rub the leaf springs a little, but Im happy with how they look on the truck.
if only they were wider (18x12), theyd be perfect.
Ive already contacted wheeladapter.com and inquired about their billet steel wheel spacers. Fred`s a good old boy, he told me to go see him in canoga park, ca. (about 50 miles from me) and he`d make them while I wait for 520 dollars. Ihavent committed to this yet, as Im still thing 18x12`s might be better.
However, i really like how the HD`s look on my truck.
Ill post some pics in the next day or so
what do you guys think get spacers, or hold off on the spacers and when oppertunity presents itself, buy a used set of 18x12`s.
I havent been driving the pickup lately, its been parked at my LB house since early june, becauseI recently bought a new audi, and Ive been ridin my old skool panhead chop` but I have another baby on the way so Im probably gonna let babies mama step up from her toyota into the new sedan. Ill just keep driving the old pickup truck, and when its complete, Ill drive the JEEP.
it could be worse
