Found a good deal on a set of 16x10 wheels for a Superduty, but don`t know if they will fit on my truck. I`ve got an 06 and these came off an 01. Did Ford change the brakes or something that would preclude a 16" wheel from fitting?

17 is the smallest wheel available on 05+ superdutys because of the larger brakes. And its my understanding that not all 17`s fit.

They will fit, but you need to downgrade to the 2004 and older brakes.

and then you won`t have nearly the stopping power you are used to, because the front calipers have twin 60 mm pistons - up 11 percent from 2004 - for better braking feel.
your other "jury rigging" option is some huge wheels spacers,...just do it the right way,...get different wheels..

In 05 ...engineers to upsized brake rotors by 5 percent, to 347 mm in front and 340 mm in rear.

Actually I have been thinking that about chevy for a while, since their brakes are so small theyre still putting 245 75 16`s on their trucks

First winter with my 06, I pulled out my studs in garage I always ran, mounted on stock 16 inch wheels from my 99, they don`t fit, just barely hit brakes, maybe 16.5s could squeeze on, I dunno know, would be close. 16s don`t.
